This is a great gemstone, a Natural untreated "Sleeping beauty" Robins Egg Blue Turquoise. Naturally hard turquoise that is very rare and is only found in two locations throughout the entire world. One is Persia, now known as Iran and the second is found here in the United Sates. Persian turquoise is very hard to find and is typically a very light blue color. The second location is found outside the town of Globe, Arizona. The Mine is no longer producing any turquoise, focusing only on the copper ore found in the mine. It is this copper that gives the turquoise it's distinctive color. When it was mined it was found in many colors, ranging from a light baby blue to a very intense Robin's Egg Blue. The darker colors are highly prized and very expensive. This Turquoise is naturally hard and does not need to be treated with opticon a hardening agent, that is impregnated into all other Turquoise.
This stone weighs 2.92 carats and measures 12x10mm. Color as shown in the images.
I can assure you that this is genuine because I cut this stone myself from rough that I bought from the mine over 15 years ago. The mine has stopped producing so this material is very very hard to find. The center stone is shown loose in the ring and will be permanently set before being shipped to you.
This stone is flawless AAAA grade with no treatments. Not even the recent treatment where the turquoise is treated in a way that improves the "surface color". This color is natural with no enhancements. I know because I personally cut this gemstone for rough material that I bought from the mine over 15 years ago.
This halo ring is very similar in style and design to that worn by Princes Diana.
The ring is solid 14K white gold and weighs approximately 4.5 grams. I have set a total of 16 round white brilliant cut diamonds in the halo. The approximate diamond weight is .20 to .22 carats. PLATING FINISH:
All Platinum, 14K white gold, 18K white gold jewelry (rings, bracelets, pendants and Earrings) will be finished with a Super Bright White Rhodium plating. This is a standard practice in the entire industry. If you do not want the final plating please let us know in advance.
This applies only to white metals. All other metals are never plated, but left in the natural state.
